Difference between metallic and non metallic mineral with example ​

Whereas non-metals may be solid, liquid and gaseous at room temperature. Metalsare good conductors of heat and electricity but non-metals are poor conductors of heat and electricity. Metals are ductile in nature i.e. it can be drawn into thin wires. But non-metals are not ductile.

  • METALLIC MINERALS CONTAIN MELAT IN THE RAW FORM.....
  • THESE METALS ARE GENERALLY ASSOCIATED WITH IGNEOUS ROCKS.....
  • THEY ARE USUALLY HARD AND AND HAVE A SHINE OF THEIR OWN.....
  • EXAMPLES : iron, copper etc.....

Non-meltallic :

  • THEY DO NOT CONTAIN MINERALS.....
  • THESE METALS ARE GENERALLY ASSOCIATED WITH SEDIMENTARY ROCKS.....
  • THEY ARE NOT USUALLY HARD AND HAVE NO SHINE OF THEIR OWN.....
  • EXAMPLES : salt, coal.....
