Moderates demanded home rule . They used peaceful methods to put forward their demands they used three P's protest, petition and prayer. Dadabhai Naroji was a moderate.
On the other hand extremists demanded of Purna swaraj. They used agressive protest to put forward their demand. Bal Gangadhar Tilak was an extremist
