Mohorovicic discontinuity: this discontinuity between crust and mental was discovered by Yugoslavian scientist Andreaja Mohorovicic in 1909. It is simply known as 'Moho discontinuity'. It is found 8 kms beneath the ocean and about 32 kms beneath continents.
