A molecule is formed when two or more atoms join together chemically.A compound at least two different elements. hence it if you understand the difference between atom and element you also know what is the difference between molecule and compound.
But actually, a compound is a type of molecule. A molecule is formed when two or more atoms of an element chemically join together. If the types of atoms are different from each other, a compound is formed. Not all molecules are compounds, since some molecules, such as hydrogen gas or ozone, consist only of one element or only one type of atom. e.g. H2. To form a compound you need atoms from different elements to combine and form a molecule and then only you get a compound.
