Answer: Monocarpic plant flowers only once in their lifetime while polycarpic flower every year.

Monocarpic are annual or biennial while polycarpic are perennial.

Monocarpic die after flowering & fruiting while polycarpic do not die after flowering

Monocarpic plants:- Those plaints in which flowering and fruiting takes place once in their whole life span are called as monocarpic e.g. Annual and biennial plant's.

Polycarpic plants:- Those plaints in which flowering and fruiting takes place many times in their life span are known as polycarpic plant's. e.g. Perennial plant's

Some exceptions:-

➟ Some perennial plants like bamboo, century plant are example of monocarpic plants.

➟ Bamboo produces flowers once in his Life time, gives large amount of fruits and die generally after 50-100 years.
