we Quite simply they are classifications given to enzymes depending upon the number of monomers that make up the enzyme.

A monomeric enzyme has one polypeptide chain (e.g. ribonuclease),

while an oligomeric enzyme has multiple polypeptide chains.

(e.g. aldolase, which has four).

Oligomeric enzymes are those enzymes which are made up with two or more polypeptide chains.

the monomeric enzymes are those made up of single polypeptide chain.

Its interesting to know that we have more amount of oligomeric enzymes than monomeric enzymes.
