the main difference between the mughal army and sepoy army was that the sepoy army was divide equally in paidal sepoy ,sepoy on horseback,and on elephants

The difference between the Mughal and the Sepoy army is the following:

Mughal army:

1. It was comprised mainly of cavalry, which included Sawars (trained soldiers) and infantry, foot sol-diers.

2. Mughal soldiers were given training in archery and the use of swords.

3. Mughals did not have a large professional army.

4. The Mughal rulers if not completely but dependent on the armies of the local rulers.

Sepoy army:

1. The East India Company originally recruited sepoys from the local villages in the Bombay and Madras Presidencies and trained them as professional soldiers.  

2. The sepoy army adopted a new warfare technology; it gave more value to the infantry regiment.

3. The sepoy soldiers were provided with muskets and matchlocks.

4. The sepoy army adopted a new military culture and the soldiers were subject to follow the training based on Europe's style.
