What is the Difference between National Park, Wildlife Sanctuary and Biosphere Reserve? It protects entire biodiversity (Biodiversity is variety of plants and animals living in area). Biosphere reserves are very big. And they may also have national park and wildlife sanctuary inside it.

National Parks Biosphere reserve

1.) Covers area from 0.04 to around 3614 sq km. 1.) Animals are protected in their original habitat.

2.) Made for the protection of a particular wildlife species. 2.) It includes national parks, wildlife sanctuary as well.

3.) It is open for tourism. 3.) No outside species are allowed except locals flora and fauna.

4.) No human activity is allowed inside it. 4.) It is used for conservation as well as research.

5.) Outside species are allowed to be habitat. 5.) It extends up to the area of 5000-6000 sq km.
