1.brings rain to Tamil nadu.
2.it blows from north east to south amd this rain is beneficial to rabi crops.
3.it has no distinct branches.

★Retreating monsoon★
1.brings rain to most of India.
2.it blows from south east to north and Kharif crops depends on it.
3.it has two distinct branches,they are : Arabian sea Branch & Bay of Bengal Branch.
