Difference between: nucleus and nucleons,valence shell and penultimate shell?

Nucleus -- It is positively charged core of atom which is surrounded by cloud if negatively charged particles called electron .

Nucleons - They are particle which core consist of ,namely protons and neutrons.

Valence shell- The outermost shell which contains Valence electron is called Valence shell.
Penultimate shell- It is shell which is just before valence shell .
