OLD_URBAN_CENTRES

Many of the Indian towns and cities were called walled cities because they were enclosed within fort walls and surrounded by a deep moat. The walls and moats were meant to protect the city from invaders.

NEW_URBAN_CENTRES

The British introduced a new architectural style in India. In term of size the new organ Centre was quite big with broad road and big Open Spaces in the form of town, playgrounds and parks. Public building were also large and the construction was good.
