Difference between open well and doglegged staircase

Open well staircase :a stair built around a well opened space simply near an area which is not conjusted.

Dog legged staircase : it consists of two straight flights of steps with direct turns between them. This staircase is very useful where the total width of the stair is just twice the width of the step.
