The major differences are as follows

#Written constitution

•The provisions such as articles, clauses, schedules has been codified into a single legal document.
•The constitution is the supreme power and not the organs of the government such as executive, legislature and judiciary.
•In order to maintain the constitutional supremacy, the judiciary enjoys wider powers.
It can be rigid(complex procedures are involved to amend)or flexible (easy to amend) or both .Eg:indian constitution is both rigid and flexible.
•Either federal( sharing of power between center and states)or unitary(powers are vested in the center).
•Enacted. ie:Framed by a body appointed solely for this purpose. eg:constituent assembly of India

#Unwritten constitution

•The provisions such as articles, clauses, schedules has not been codified into a single legal document.
•Parliament is the supreme power
•Judicial powers are restricted
•Necessarily flexible
•Necessarily unitary
•Evolved constitution over a long period of time from various sources
