hey mate ✨✨✨✨✨✌️✌️

Question 1: difference between O and O2?

The main difference between Monoatomic Oxygen (O) and Diatomic Oxygen (O2) is that diatomic oxygen is in a stable form where each of the oxygen atoms in the molecule form double covalent bonds in order to decrease each other’s energy. The lower the energy of a molecule, the more stable it is compared to an atom without bonds.

Monoatomic oxygen, on the other hand, has 2 free radicals exposed because it does not have a full electron configuration (Oxygen: 2, 6, Full Config: 2, 8) and has a higher energy than diatomic oxygen, and is therefore unstable. Because of this, most singular atoms are often very reactive and will react with any neighboring compounds with the exception of noble gases. Suppose we have a box of singular oxygen atoms, and let us say that, hypothetically, they don't form bonds with each other. If we placed any object inside that box, the oxygen will immediately react with the object. This will create new compounds, destroying it’s original structure as corrodes it away.

hope it will help you ✨✨✨✨✨✨

The difference oxygen and oxygen gas. oxygen is an element that can be a solid liquid or gas depending on its temperature and pressure..... this means that two oxygen atoms are connected together in a covalent double band. both oxygen atoms and oxygen gas are reactive substance that are essential for life on earth.....

I hope it's help you
