A motion which repeats itself at regular intervals of time is called a periodic motion.
A motion which repeats itself, but not at regular intervals of time, is called a non-periodic motion.

Periodic motion is the motion in which the object move or repeat itself in a fixed interval of time like earth move itself in fixed time i.e. 24 hours. Non- periodic motion is the motion in which can't repeat itself in a fixed interval of time. e.g vechiles.
