Difference between phylloclade and cladode adaptation

Cladode is a phylloclade with one or two internodes only. It resembles a leaf. A cladode arises in the axil of a much reduced scale leaf. ... Phylloclade is a modified stem that is flattened or cylindrical and capable of unlimited growth.
