- The tallest mountain peak in Eastern ghats and also the tallest peak in Andhra Pradesh: Arma Konda ( it is also known as Jindhagada peak ). Elevation: 1680m, It is located in the Madugula Konda sub-range north of Paderu village in Andhra Pradesh. Deomali is the highest peak in Odisha stands an elevation of about 1672m, located in Koraput town of Koraput district in south division of Odisha.
- Kalsubai is the highest peak of Maharashtra's Ahmednagar district in Akola taluka and also the highest peak of Western ghats in the Western india. The summit height of the Sahyadri mountain ranges in the north is 1646 meters(or 5400 feet). It is known as the Everest of Maharashtra. Kalsubai Shikhar is situated on the border of Ahmadnagar and Nashik districts.
- The highest peak in south India and also the highest peak of peninsular India is Anaimudi has an elevation of about 2695m. It is located in Kerala, lies on the border of Devikulam Taluk, Idukki district and Kothamangalam Taluk, Ernakulam district and lies near to Eravikulam national park (about 14kms away). Anaimudi also known as 'Everest of South India'. The name Anamudi literally translates to "elephant's head"(in malayalam). The peak is the highest in Anaimalai Hills of Western ghats.

Kangto is a mountain of the Eastern Himalayas located in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh and it shares its border with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is the highest point in Arunachal Pradesh. The area in which Kangto is located lies in the Sawa circle of East Kameng district of the Indian state. On the Chinese side, it lies in Cona County of Shannan Prefecture, Tibet. Mount Kangto is the source of the Pachuk river, one of the main tributaries of the Kameng river in East Kameng district.
- Kanchenjunga is the India's highest mountain (shared with Nepal). It stands an elevation of about 8,567m which makes the world's 3rd highest mountain following after K2(Godwin-Austen) and Everest(Sagarmatha[in Nepali] /Chololungma[in Tibetian]). It is delimited in the west by the Tamur River, in the north by the Lhonak Chu and Jongsang La, and in the east by the Teesta River. It lies between Nepal and Sikkim, India, with three of the five peaks (Main, Central, and South) directly on the border, and the remaining two (West and Kangbachen) in Nepal's Taplejung District.
- Nanda Devi is the second highest mountain in India after Kangchenjunga and the highest located entirely within the country. It is the 23rd-highest peak in the world. It is part of the Garhwal Himalayas, and is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, between the Rishiganga valley on the west and the Goriganga valley on the east. The peak, whose name means "Bliss-Giving Goddess", is regarded as the patron-goddess of the Uttarakhand Himalaya. Nanda Devi is also declared as the UNESCO site in 1988.
