Physical changes only change the appearance of a substance, not its chemical composition. Chemical changes cause a substance to change into an entirely substance with a new chemical formula. Chemical changes are also known as chemical reactions.

\huge\bf{Answer :}

Physical changes:-

  • Only the physical properties of a substance change during physical change.

  • No new substance is formed in a physical change.

  • Most of the physical changes are reversible.

  • Almost all physical changes are temporary.

Chemical changes:-

  • A new substance is formed in a chemical change.

  • A chemical change is a permanent change.

  • It is an irreversible change.

  • Both the physical and chemical properties of the substance change during a chemical change.

For short differentiation:-

  • New substance is not formed.

  • The nature of change is temporary change.

  • Reversibility is reversible.

\sf\red{Chemical \ changes:-}

  • New substance is formed.

  • The nature of change is permanent change.

  • Reversibility is irreversible.
