There are various differences among the plant cell and animal cell, namely the structure of the cell and also the functions of the cells.

Explanation:

  • The first difference is that the plant cell have a cell wall over the cell membrane made up of cellulose, while animal do not have a cell wall and only have cell membrane which is made up of lipoproteins.
  • The plant cell have chloroplasts which contains pigments like chlorophyll which functions in photosynthesis, whereas animal cell does not have chloroplasts.
  • The plant cell has single large vacuole, which stores the waste materials of the plant cell whereas animal cells have numerous small vacuoles scattered in the cell.
  • Plastids are present in plant cells whereas it is absent in animal cells.
  • The animal cell has centrioles whereas the plant cell does not have it.
