The following are the main differences between an Artery and a Vein.

  1. Arteries are thicker than veins
  2. Arteries lack in Valves but Veins Don't
  3. Arteries have blood running in High pressure. But veins have Blood running in low pressure. That's the reason why they have valves to prevent back flow
  4. Arteries supplies from Heart to body except Pulmonary Artery, But veins supply blood from the body to the heart except for the Pulmonary  Vein.
  • Arteries Divided into arterioles, whereas the Veins divided into venules.
