difference between polar and nonpolar

Polar and non polar are types of liquids in chemistry.Both of them are categorised under liquids but still they distinct to each other.Both of them have different chemical properties and thus they are not soluble in each other .Examples of polar are, water and examples of non polar are oils like petrol.
