pollen tube is the tube formed by growth of pollen in the 'style' part of female reproductive part in flower.
this tube grows in the style and finally reaches to ovary where it releases the male gametes carried by it, and therefore fertilization happens.
the female reproductive part in flower is the gynoecium. it consists of three parts... stigma, style and ovary..
stigma is the upper part where pollen lands ... and after that it grows to form pollen tube.
