difference between population density and population distribution

Population density is a small picture:

Population density = Total human being in a region/Area of particular region

It does not actually show where population is, so one can not infer much from it. e.g In densely populated countries like India have 382 person/square km.

But there are regions where density is above 10000 person/Square km like in major city while there are region where it is just 2 person/square km.

Population distribution gives accurate picture as where people are living actually region wise.

It will show that city has large distribution while hilly, desert areas have very less population, one can not infer this from density data.
