hey mate!!

The difference in regular radio waves and microwave radio (or ovens for that matter) is the wavelength of the electromagnetic radiation. All electromagnetic radiation travels at the speed of light. ... The main difference between radio waves and microwavesis its wavelength and frequency operation.

What is the difference between radio and microwave? How are penetrating, non-penetrating, frequency and speed defined?

The main difference between radio waves and microwaves is its wavelength and frequency operation.

Radio waves-3MHz to 300MHz

Microwaves-300MHz to 300GHz

In radio waves, most of the circuit elements are made up of lumped components. It is mainly used for mobile radio communication purpose. It is suitable for long distance communication.Whereas Microwaves has the distributed circuit http://elements.It is used in Radars,Micro ovens,Astronomy and industries. Here the microwave antennas size is small as it is used in higher frequencies.
