rapid combustion- in this type of combustion, furl work rapidly to produce heat and light. for example:- LPG etc.
spontaneous combustion- in this type of combustion, fuel suddenly burst into flame. for example:- candle etc.

Rapid and spontaneous similar. They both occurs very soon. The major difference in these are that in Rapid combustion the substance must be ignited for the process to take place. In spontaneous combustion they starts on their own (ex phosphorus at room temperature).
