difference between reflection and refraction

reflection is bouncing back of light into the same medium where as refraction is bending of light rays obliquely while passing from one medium to the other.

the process of changing the direction of light when it travels from one medium to another medium is called refraction

(or)
the process of bending the light rays when it travels from one medium to another medium is called refraction

cause of refraction :

speed of light is different in different medium
