Reflection :- When light is incident on a surface, it partly goes back ( reflected light ) and partly absorbed by the surface and the remaining part is transmitted through the surface.
It may also be called as the bouncing back of light from the shining surface.
Refraction :- The phenomenon of change in path of light as it goes from one medium to another is called refraction.
