Difference between Revolution and Rotation ? Give Reason.

when a object turned around internal axies is known as rotation
when object turned around external axies is known as revolution
eg. earth rotate about an its own axies and earth revolve around sun....

rotation
means when an object rotates in its Axis, you can take you can take an example- like put a dot on the middle of the fan switch it on, the Dot Will rotate that is how the Earth rotates its rotation causes one day.

Revolution
Means when an object revolves around an orbit (fixed path) you can take example of a fan put a dot in one of the wings of the fan and a switch it on, after switching it on you will see that the dot rotates around the fan as the fan rotates, this is how the Earth revolves in its Orbit which causes an year and change of the season
