Rolling friction -The opposite force that act between the rolling body and the horizontal surface is called rolling friction. The friction experienced in rolling an object in less. The coefficient depends strongly on the external forces.
Sliding friction- When a body slides over the surface of another body the opposing force between the bodies is called sliding friction. The friction experienced in sliding an object is more. The coefficient does not depend so strongly on external forces
Hope it helps...

Answer:

Rolling friction takes place when an object rolls on the surface. Sliding frictiontakes place when two surfaces are rubbed against each other. Rolling friction takes place due to deformation of surfaces.
