clayey soil:
- the proportion of fine particle is higher
- particles are packed tightly
- it can hold a good amount of water
- water can not drain quickly
- good for growing various crops
- less air is trapped between the particles .
sandy soil :
- the proportion of large particle is higher
- particles are loosely packed
- its ability to retain water is low
- water can drain quickly
- not suitable for growing crops
- more air is trapped between the particles

Sandy soil is light one dry and tend to be in acidic and low in nutrients. Sandy soils are also called light soils due to their high proportion of sand and little clay.
Clayey soil:
Clayey soil has small size particles. which particles are tightly therefore it can retain water and also it is rich in organic matter so it is helpful for such crops..
