in the series connection of resistor in the way that the one end of the resistor is Conncted to the other resistor....
and the both the left over terminal of the resistor are connected to terminals of the battery...R=R1+R2....Rz
but in the parallel connection both the terminals of both the resistor are interconnected and then they are connected to battery...
1/R=1/R1+1/R2....+1/Rz
