Settled life leads to more sophistication but it also leads to more instances of scummy behavior. Sedentary people won't show their ugly side like we do. Our guys show our ugly side by throwing batches of 100k in tar pits and lighting them on fire. But once we do that, all we forget about it and if someone does that to us, we forget about it too and in 2 generations, it becomes a joke. Pathans for example (I'm not one but using example of nomad) today themselves joke about Ranjeet Singh crushing their forces and so everyone wore loose jibbas.

Settled folks don't do bloodletting but they have vampirism. Selfish behavior and social parasitism is normalised in sedentary culture. Values like miserliness are also enshrined.

I always felt sedentary folks should handle commerce and finance whilst nomads shoild handle military and public sector administration.

Settled folks insult us for being barbaric but whenever they run into a problem and their daddies can't help, they scurry to us like lost souls

In nomadic cultire, we value cooperation and team work cos u NEED to co-operate to raid a caravan. When u do farming, u r shutting off ur family via the rest of ur community thru a fence. U r entire goal in life is to have more than ur neighbor.

So while this makes settled folks culture less violent prone, it also makes em infinitely scummy.

God forbid if something happens to a settled culture wallah who is leaving behind a wife , and they don't have background, that settled guy is better off entrusting his wife to Mullah Oraf rather than to his own younger brother. U know why. I know why.

That kinda stuff doesn't happen in nomadic life
