Short circuit takes place due to fault in equipment, Live wire and neutral wire come in contact with each other. Resistance of circuit becomes very small and huge amount of current flows through it.
Overloading is the flow of large amount of current in the circuit beyond the permissible value. If electric appliances of high power rating are switched on simultaneously, excessive current is drawn from the transformer supplying electricity. If the capacity is insufficient, fuse wire melts and supply gets shut down
Way to stop overloading :
Avoid connecting many appliances at a time
