The touching of live and neutral wire is known as shortcircuiting whereas overloading occurs when large number of appliances are turned on.
2. In shortcircuiting high amount of current flows through the circuit. Whereas in overloading less amount of current flows.
3. The potential difference at the point of short circuiting will drop to zero whereas in overloading the potential difference does not drop to zero but it does reduce.
4. Short circuiting means phase wire and neutral wire are short each other unexpectedly. If short circuit is occurred than there is sparks ✨ and fire whereas overloading means increase the current value over rated value.
