difference between Silent and Silence ​

The former one is noun and later one is adjective.The dictionary meaning of silence is a lack of sound or noise.It also refers to a situation ,state or period of time in which people don't talk. The dictionary meaning of silent is not speaking or making noise. Everyone was silent in the house.
