In single quotes, we type something important, different or special.
In double quotes, we write a dialogue.

Double quotation marks are used to write a dialogue or something said by a character.

For example, Ravi said, "I will have tea later."

Single quotation marks are used to write the name of a particular thing or phrase.

For example, The poem 'On The Grasshopper and the Cricket' was written by John Keats.

Hope it helps! :)
