Solar Energy:

Solar systems are best developed and simplest of solar technologies.

Solar energy can be conserved by suitable architectural frameworks that exploit site and building materials to turn a building into a solar collector.

Active solar systems involve mechanical parts.

Basic unit is a solar collector i.e. panel made of aluminium, glass, plastic and copper.

When fitted to roof these panels absorb sunlight and transfer heat to fluid that passes through collector.

Geothermal Energy:

Produced from heat in deep interior of earth.

Molten rock beneath earth’s surface in places has pushed up close to earth’s crust.

During underground water flowing over hot rocks steam rises through holes in earth’s crusts thus producing geysers.

Geothermal energy can be converted into electricity.
