Solid:

*  they have fixed shape
* they have fixed volume
* particles are tightly packed
* particles cannot move freely, they just vibrate at their mean position
* attraction between its molecules is very strong

liquids:

* they have definite volume
* they have not fixed shape because they assume the shape of container in which it is kept
* particles are not tightly packed
* particles can move freely
* attraction between molecules is not strong as compared to solids

gases:

* they have not fixed shape
*they have not fixed volume
* particles can easily move freely as possible
* particles are not tightly packed
* attraction between its molecules is negligible
