it is said in India n in many countries that after death of a person an energy get out of the body ie spirit. There are many words for spirit like in hindi spirit is called as 'आत्मा'.
The spirit of normal person like us are just normal but the spirits of great persons like Gautama Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Lord Ram, Jesus Christ...... etc. ate considered as holy spirit. As their sole was pure, non-greedy, etc.
In Hindi pure means पवित्र. so the sole of great people in the world is said to be holy spirit.
