Explanation:

Sulfate and sulfite ions are the polyatomic ions which are formed by the combination of sulfur and oxygen atoms.

The chemical formula for sulfate and sulfite are SO_4^{2-}\text{ and }SO_3^{2-} respectively.

Sulfide ion is the ion which is formed by the gaining of electrons by sulfur atom. Sulfur atom gains 2 electrons in order to form stable atom. The ion formed by gaining 2 electrons by sulfur atom is S^{2-}

Thus, the chemical formula for sulfate, sulfite and sulfide ions are SO_4^{2-},SO_3^{2-}\text{ and }S^{2-} respectively.

All the ions carry a charge of -2.
