Natural fibres : All the fibres that are gathered from plants and animals are called natural fibres . Some if the most popular natural fibres are silk , wool , cotton , linen , jute , etc. Natural fibres may be further classified into two categories :

Vegetable fibres and Animals fibres .

Synthetic fibres : Fibres that are not obtained from nature but are prepared artificially by humans are called synthetic fibres . Rayon , Nylon , Acrylic and polyester are some examples of synthetic fibres.
