Difference between tap root and fibrous root in coloums

TAP ROOT : 1 - it is found in dicots such as trees, flowering plants and shrubs.

FIBROUS ROOT : 1 - it is found in monocots such as reed ( tall grasses ) and grass.

T.R : 2 - it consist of the main roots or the primary roots of the dicots.

F.R : 2 - it consist of fine hair- like roots.

T.R : 3 - they are deep-rooted and they are underground embryonic roots.

F.R : 3 - the roots are shallow. they can be underground or aerial. they are short- lived roots.
