tropical evergreen are found in the region which receives more than 200cm rainfall whereas deciduous forest are found in areas which receives rainfall between 200 -70 cm.

EVERGREEN FOREST
These forests are restricted to heavy rainfall
they are found in the areas of the Western Ghats and island groups of Lakshadweep Andaman Nicobar upper part of Assam and Tamil nadu coast
they are at their best in areas having more than 200 CM of rainfall with a short dry season
the trees reach great heights of 60 metres or even above
Some of the important trees in this forest are ebony, mahogany ,Rosewood, rubber and Cinchona
The common animals found in this forest are elephants ,monkey, lemurs and deer.
the one horned rhinoceros are found in the jungles of Assam and West Bengal
besides animals plenty of birds,bats,sloth,scorpions and snails are found in this jungle.
