Tropical evergreen forest:

→They never shed all their leaves at one time
→They remain green throughout the year
→Trees found here form a canopy.sunlight does not reaches the ground
→They are also called as selva in amazon basin
→They are mostly tall hardwood trees with broad leaves that release excess water through transpiration.
Tropical evergreen forests receive more rainfall than deciduous forests i.e evergreen forests receive 200-&more than it ,while deciduous receives only between 100 to 70 cm
some of the common trees are oaks,conifers,birches etc

Tropical deciduous forests:
→They shed all their leaves usually during the dry season.
→They prevent loss of water by transpiration
→They also form a thicket but due to shedding of leaves sunlight reaches the ground
→They are also known as monsoon forests
→The leaves of the trees are smaller and shed for about six to eight weeks in summer. 
Some of the common trees are teak,Sal,sandalwood etc.

EVERGREEN FOREST

These forests are restricted to heavy rainfall

they are found in the areas of the Western Ghats and island groups of Lakshadweep Andaman Nicobar upper part of Assam and Tamil nadu coast

they are at their best in areas having more than 200 CM of rainfall with a short dry season

the trees reach great heights of 60 metres or even above

Some of the important trees in this forest are ebony, mahogany ,Rosewood, rubber and Cinchona

The common animals found in this forest are elephants ,monkey, lemurs and deer.

the one horned rhinoceros are found in the jungles of Assam and West Bengal

besides animals plenty of birds,bats,sloth,scorpions and snails are found in this jungle.

there is no definite time for trees to shed there leaves

TROPICAL DECIDUOUS FOREST

These are the most widespread forest of India

they are also called the monsoon forests

they spread over the region receiving rainfall between 200 cm and 70 cm

trees of this forest type shed their leaves about 6 to 8 weeks in during summer

there are two types of deciduous forest deciduous and dry deciduous

forest found in the North Eastern states along the foothills of Himalayas on the eastern slopes of Western Ghats

teak is the most dominant species of this forest

bamboo ,Sal,sandal wood ,khair, Arjun ,Mulberry other commonly important species

the common animals found are lion ,tiger and elephant

and huge variety of birds ,lizards, Snakes and tortoise are also found here
