Difference between Tropical Rainforest and Equatorial Rainforest.

• Rainforests are basically a dense accumulation of trees that make a forest and do not have any kind of dry period or any dry season throughout the year.
• There are a large number of flora and fauna growing in such places. The rainforests have a record of very heavy rainfall all year round.

Tropical rainforest:

• Basically, the Tropical rainforest and equatorial rainforest are more or less the same. They have a variety of animals and plants found in them.  
• Due to dense plantation of all types, be it tall or short, such areas have more amount of moisture than other areas hence they have more rainfall too.

Equatorial rainforests:

• Equatorial rainforests are the rainforest that is situated near to the equator region while the Tropical rainforest is more towards the tropics of cancer and Capricorn.

Tropical forests are located in both the northern and southern hemispheres between the tropics and the polar regions. Equatorial forests are located between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer. Equatorial forests gets about 400 inches of rain per year while tropical forests get about 100 inches of rainfall in a year.
