Tubewell :-
1)A well is a hole dug in the ground to obtain the subsoil water.
2)An ordinary well is about 3-5 metres deep but deeper wells up-to 15 metres are also dug.
3)This method of irrigation has been used in India from time immemorial. 4)Various methods are used to lift the ground water from the well for irrigation, drinking, bathing and for other purposes.
Ordinary well :-
1)An artesian aquifer is a confined aquifer containing groundwater that will flow upwards through a well without the need for pumping.
2)Water may even spurt out of the ground if the natural pressure is high enough.
3)An aquifer provides the water for an artesian well.
