Two Cavity Klystron:
1) As the name indicated it have two cavities  one is called buncher cavity while the other is catcher cavity.
2) The purpose of it is amplifying the low power.
3) In order to gain very high bandwidth more cavities can be used in this.

Reflex Klystron:
1) The main purpose of reflex klystron is to act as "Oscillator"
2) There is only one cavity in this device
3)It's reflex action on the  beam of electron led to name is as reflex klystron
4) A repeller is also used in this device instead of catcher .

Two Cavity Klystron

1. It is the simplest klystron tube.

2. It has two microwave cavity resonators - the catcher and the buncher.

3. It is used as an amplifier.

Reflex Klystron

1. It is a single cavity device.

2. It is used as an oscillator.

3. It is given the name reflex klystron because of its reflex action of electron beam.

4. It is different from the two or multi cavity klystron because it uses a single cavity for modulation or demodulation.
