difference between two natural numbers is 23 if we get quotient 2 on dividing the bigger number by the smaller number find the numbers

let two no.are x and y
x-y=23
x=23+y
x/y=2
23+y/y=2
23+y=2y
23=2y-y
23=y
and
x=23+23=46

Let x & y be the two numbers.
x>y
x = larger number.
y = smaller number.

x-y = 23.......... (1).

x/y = 2

x = 2y……….(2)

x-y=23

2y -y =23

y= 23

Put this value of y in eq (2)


x= 2y

x= 2× 23

x= 46

Hence, the two numbers are 46 & 23
