(1) Let the C.P of shirt be Rs. x.
As, S.P = C.P (1 + % gain)
∴ (S.P)1 – (S.P)2 = x (1 + 0.05) – x(1 + 0.04)
6=x(1+0.05-1-0.04)
x(0.01)=6
x=600
Hence, C.P shirt = Rs. 600.
(2) S.P = C.P (1 + % gain)
⇒ (S.P)1 = 600 (1 + 0.05)
⇒ (S.P)1 = 600 (1.05)
⇒ (S.P)1 = 630
(S.P)2 = 600 (1 + 0.04) = 624
Hence, selling prices of shirt are Rs. 630 and Rs. 624 at gains of 5% and 4% respectively.
As, S.P = C.P (1 + % gain)
∴ (S.P)1 – (S.P)2 = x (1 + 0.05) – x(1 + 0.04)
6=x(1+0.05-1-0.04)
x(0.01)=6
x=600
Hence, C.P shirt = Rs. 600.
(2) S.P = C.P (1 + % gain)
⇒ (S.P)1 = 600 (1 + 0.05)
⇒ (S.P)1 = 600 (1.05)
⇒ (S.P)1 = 630
(S.P)2 = 600 (1 + 0.04) = 624
Hence, selling prices of shirt are Rs. 630 and Rs. 624 at gains of 5% and 4% respectively.
