-Bacteria are slightly larger than viruses and are made up of a single cell.
-One difference is size; viruses are smaller.
-Another difference is how they work. A virus only works by invading a cell within an organism and taking over that cell's machinery to reproduce itself.

The difference between virus and bacteria are as follows:-
❤ BACTERIA_____✅
☆ Size ➡️ Larger (1000 nm)
☆ Cell Wall ➡️ Peptidoglycan or Lipopolysaccharide
☆ Ribosomes ➡️ Present
☆ Number of cells ➡️ One cell (Unicellular)
☆ Living/Non-Living ➡️ Living organisms
☆ DNA and RNA ➡️ DNA and RNA floating freely in cytoplasm
☆ Infection ➡️ Localized
☆ Reproduce ➡️ Able to reproduce by itself
☆ Reproduction ➡️ Fission- a form of asexual reproduction
☆ Duration of illness ➡️ A bacterial illness commonly will last longer than 10 days

❤ VIRUS_____✅
☆ Size ➡️ Smaller (20-400 nm)
☆ Cell Wall ➡️ No cell wall. Protein coat present instead.
☆ Ribosomes ➡️ Absent
☆ Number of cells ➡️ No cells
☆ Living/Non-Living ➡️ Between living and non-living things.
☆ DNA and RNA ➡️ DNA or RNA enclosed inside a coat of protein.
☆ Infection ➡️ Systemic
☆ Reproduce ➡️ Need a living cell to reproduce
☆ Reproduction ➡️ Invades a host cell and takes over the cell causing it to make copies of the viral DNA/RNA. Destroys the host cell releasing new viruses.
